I live in Mount Holly because … of many things. I was born here, married here, raised my children here, had businesses here, and have been a part of this community for most of my life. It is a convenient location to many activity venues, as well as shopping and restaurants. It is a small town atmosphere with the amenities of a large city.

My hometown is special because … of the people. Living here these many years has made it easy to have such close friends and neighbors. We considered downsizing and moving away, but when listing the pros and cons of that decision making process the closeness of the friends was on the top of the list as the most important PRO!

My favorite thing about my town is … having things convenient for all aspects of our lives. We can drive anywhere within 30 minutes and have everything we could want or need.

If I ever left the thing I would miss the most is … definitely the people and lifelong friends. As time goes by and you get older, you realize how important those people are to you. Making friends and acquaintances has never been hard for me, but moving to an entirely different place would be like leaving a part of you behind. People should cherish friends, they are a precious gift!

The future of my town is … progressing and good things have happened and are continuing to happen. There are many people working diligently to make our town a better place to live, work and play. Being the co-chairman of the Mount Hollydays committee has been such a joy, while bringing people to the downtown area during the first part of December and preparing the minds and hearts of the community for the Christmas holidays. This is only one of the many events that is happening in our wonderful town throughout the year.
